Leo van Velzen – Theaterfotograaf, solo exhibition
The duo exhibition Underground features artist-musicians Dirk Polak, 71, and Maarten van Buyten, 19. Despite their age difference, they share a passion for post-punk music. Maarten, the guitarist for the Flemish band Rehash, creates activist mixed-media collages that aim to highlight contemporary issues. Dirk, an Amsterdam native and founder of the punk band 'Mecano,' will perform with Meccano Unlimited and others at Weisbard, where his butterfly artworks, made from old Meccano toys, will also be on sale.
