Open Studios 2026

The Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht opens its studios for three days to celebrate its 2026 cohort: some 40 artists, designers (fashion, food, graphic, social), writers, architects and other artistic researchers, who show the processes and outcomes of their residency.

The programme takes in installations, presentations and talks, special screening and reading programmes, performances, workshops and tastings. Visitors can also explore the academy gardens, taste the treats prepared by the Food Lab, discover the innovative materials of the Future Materials Lab, and see what goes on in the Printing & Publishing Lab and the academy's other spaces.

Friday 23 October 12:00 to 21:00, with a festive moment at 17:00; Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 October 12:00 to 19:00.

Tickets cost €3.50 and cover all three days; each includes a free cup of coffee, tea or a glass of water. The proceeds go directly to the JvE Participant Grant, which supports upcoming participants who face hardship or are in financial need.
