Opening: Heaving Room with special activation by one of the artists
Opening on November 20, Heaving Room, initiated by Rustan Söderling, a group exhibition exploring improvized forms of connection and attachment in a society where shared structures begin to unravel, featuring works by Jame T. Findlay, Michelle Chang Qin, Rosa Klerkx, Bin Koh, John Smith, Rustan Söderling, Dan Walwin, and Andoni Zamora Txakartegi.
Through time-based works, provisional environments and DIY logistics, the exhibition follows makeshift systems to find coherence and connection amid uncertainty: idiosyncratic cataloging, personal rituals, accidental communities, coping mechanisms and other ways to brace uncertainty. The exhibition space will become a temporary holding structure, a waiting room where these different beliefs and behaviours of uneasy alignment briefly mingle.
During the opening, there will be a special activation by one of the participating artists, as well as a cocktail inspired by the themes of the show.
