GAP: A Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc Exhibition
GAP: A Creative Intelligence & Technology MSc Exhibition
HEATWAVE UPDATE!
due to the heatwave, the GAP exhibition will be closed tomorrow (26 June).
We'll reopen on Saturday and look forward to welcoming you then.
CREATIVE INTELLIGENCE & TECHNOLOGY MSC PROGRAMME
Within Leiden University’s Creative Intelligence and Technology MSc programme
(formerly called Media Technology) students are stimulated to develop a playful and
creative approach towards science and academia. They are encouraged to translate
their personal questions and interests into research projects. In the Science to
Experience project students are challenged to translate their own science-inspired
statements into works that communicate these statements as experiences within the
exhibition.
EXHIBITION
GAP is the overall theme for this year’s exhibition project. The students work in
groups and follow a three-step process. First, students are asked to search for
scientific insights that relate to the theme GAP. After extensive exploration they
formulate compelling statements related to their findings. Once this stage is
completed, they translate their statements into works that convey their statements as
experiences. GAP is an exhibition containing ten works, each with a different take on
the overall theme. The official opening of the exhibition takes place on Thursday
June 25th, 17:00 – 19:00h with a ceremonial event at 17:30h.
