Between Fires – Irradiated Imaginations & Anti-Nuclear Solidarities
Between Fires – Irradiated Imaginations & Anti-Nuclear Solidarities traces the intertwined histories of nuclear infrastructures, colonialism and resistance. The exhibition focuses on Soviet nuclear testing in Kazakhstan's Semey region (1948–1991) and the transnational anti-nuclear movement that united affected communities across Kazakhstan and the United States, foregrounding the artists, organisers, and storytellers who turned exposure into solidarity.
