Opening: This Quiet Place is Fantastic | sophie serber

GDL525 presents an exhibition of new paintings and sculptures by Sophie Serber. Drawing from her experience as a performer in the porn industry, Serber’s long-term project conceptualises proliferation of porn as akin to a cellular process of productive self-cannibalisation. Working across the histories of painting, sculpture and video, she researches the production and negation of consumptive desire in digital pornography, and its philosophical analogues in postmodern society.
