Martijn Bijl: SALON MA~AS, group exhibition with 195 artists.

The inaugural exhibition Art & Language is a collaboration between writer and visual artist Bas Kwakman and artist-curator Astrid de Pauw. Held biennially, it continues the spirit of Poetry & Art, a long-standing highlight of the Poetry International Festival, by bringing together visual art and language. Here, the dialogue is central: art does not merely illustrate poetry, nor does poetry serve as a caption to art. Instead, both stand as autonomous practices that meet on equal ground—sometimes reinforcing, sometimes challenging, always engaging with one another.
