Waterwork
Waterwork
Waterwork explores the possibilities of water's voice through performance, percussion, movement and close listening. Main: Multidisciplinary artist Marjolijn Boterenbrood and percussionist musician Mei-Yi Lee trace the rhythms and movements of water, listening to murmuring, clicking, cracking and breaking sounds produced by water itself and by microorganisms and other forms of underwater life. The performance looks at water not only as a surrounding environment, but as an active force that absorbs, erodes, connects and transforms. Through sound and movement, Waterwork follows how water carries traces of life and how a site changes over time. The programme includes two performance rounds, followed by an artist talk and drinks. Artists: Marjolijn Boterenbrood & Mei-Yi Lee Location: Mediamatic Dijksgracht 6, Amsterdam Admission: Free, RSVP required More info + RSVP: www.mediamatic.net/en/page/393664/waterwork
