Astrodam2026 - Openingsritueel Steelhenge

During the Eclipse at 27:50 degrees Aquarius, coinciding with the beginning of the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse, we will gather to consecrate and activate De Henge within Steelhenge through a ritual. Together, we will bring the STAR back to Am-STAR-dam at this beautiful sanctuary 'Het Stenen Hoofd', at the threshold of land and water along the ancient IJ. The masculine steel of De Henge will be immersed in the power of the feminine under the guidance of Nicole E. Zonderhuis – our 'lady of Holland' – who will lead the opening ritual through a ceremony during the first half of the evening. Nicole is a ritualist – "a person knowledgeable in rituals who performs them." With a background in Ritual Architecture, she gives meaning to major life events through ritual, spoken word, and ceremony—from birth and marriage to death. Where the church once fulfilled this role, a more universal spiritual experience is now called for. Through her texts and spoken word, she sets the tone and invites participants into water blessings and ceremonies of forgiveness. Following Nicole's ritual, Jeanette Groenendaal will take us on a journey with a lecture on the astrological pilgrimage 'Navahraha-negen planeten', and her film Dramayama will be screened in our cozy 7 Ster Yurt, which will be ours for the entire evening. Jeanette is a filmmaker, artistic researcher, producer, and astrologer. The yurt will be heated by a wood fire, but winter coats for outside are strongly advised. Musical accompaniment will be provided by Cato Fluitsma and friends, while Mark – De Gongluider van Amsterdam supports the process with his gong vibrations. Put on your warmest ritual attire! And spread the word…
