Building Bridges: unfolding layers of community
Building Bridges: unfolding layers of community
The planned and much-debated third city bridge in Rotterdam will have a major impact on the existing city. Before that happens, OMI explores the area of De Esch: a unique landscape full of contrasts, from an eco-neighborhood to university campuses, and from allotment gardens to office parks. The exhibition presents a richly illustrated timeline of the area’s diverse cultural history, while visitors are also invited to venture into the area with local makers to discover new perspectives. Through tours, workshops, and on-site conversations, new ideas and stories are continually added to the exhibition.
