Een Ode Aan

Babs Groote Schaarsberg’s collection consists of sculptures surrounding the body, conceived as a tribute to the Bottermarkt in her village of Raalte and traditional Salland dress. Rather than a replica of the original, it offers a personal interpretation designed to captivate and engage audiences so that these traditions are not lost. The title Een Ode Aan grants Groote Schaarsberg freedom in her creative process and invites the viewer to wonder and be curious, mirroring the artist's own experience as she walks across the Bottermarkt.
