EXboot / Lyssah Oterdoom – Singer Harmony

Singer Harmony is part of an ongoing investigation into the acoustic properties of electric sewing machines. Both the resonance of the casings and the mechanical movements of the needle are amplified, creating a composition that transforms over time. The sewing machine motors are individually controlled, generating a poetic interplay across varying rhythms. Gradually, these rhythms evolve into sounds that thread together into a living, breathing soundscape.
