Far and Familiar: photographic perspectives on a country in transformation

The Prince Claus Fund presents Far and Familiar, an exhibition bringing together the work of Sudanese photographers from the Fund’s Arab Documentary Photography Program. Curated by Ala Kheir and Ola Hassanain, the exhibition brings together a range of photographic perspectives, spanning documentary and more lyrical approaches to the medium.

The exhibition brings together photographic practices that emerge from- and respond to- Sudan, and the different ways artists engage with a country in transformation.

Far and Familiar invites audiences to encounter these practices and perspectives, and to consider what photography can reveal about a place, its people and its changing realities.
