HKU-alumni Anthony Chiou en Loes van Roozendaal

During EXPOSURE, HKU's flagship graduation festival, Kunstuitleen Utrecht presents a curated selection of works by HKU alumni on the Uitgelicht wall.

At the heart of the presentation are paintings by Anthony Chiou (graduated 2025) and Loes van Roozendaal (graduated 2024), both of whom were previously featured in the JONG exhibitions at Kunstuitleen Utrecht. Anthony Chiou creates vibrant, layered paintings where memories, family narratives, and his Surinamese-Brazilian roots converge. Loes van Roozendaal explores the relationship between glass, light, and time, crafting subtle paintings that shift with the viewer’s gaze.

The showcase also features works by HKU alumni with whom Kunstuitleen Utrecht has had a long-standing collaboration, including Jorn van Leeuwen, Joyce Overheul, Kim van Erven, Annemiek Vera, and Satijn Panyigay.

This presentation builds upon the enduring partnership between Kunstuitleen Utrecht and HKU, dedicated to supporting emerging artists through acquisitions, exhibitions, and sustained visibility.
