Kleine Verzinsels
Kleine Verzinsels
From 22 to 24 May, Sanja Marušić, Yemo Park, and Norbert Storm present a joint exhibition at WG Kunst. Photography, sculpture, painting, and video work converge in a world where memories chart their own course, derail, or are restaged. Fictitious enterprises take on an emotional charge, while family relationships slowly morph into fables, reconstructions, and elusive memories. Figures wander through landscapes that feel simultaneously domestic, absurd, and unreal. Sanja Marušić (1991) is a Dutch-Croatian photographer. In her staged images, she constructs miniature worlds in which a human figure—often herself—moves through mysterious and surreal landscapes. Her work departs from personal experiences, gradually shifting toward dream logic, alienation, and myth. Yemo Park (1990, Seoul) creates sculptures and installations originating from fictional, often absurd enterprises. These non-existent companies investigate artistic autonomy, labour, and the social systems that shape our lives. In Kleine Verzinsels, she transforms deceased dogs into sculptural objects, allowing families to keep their lost companions literally close at hand. Norbert Storm (1984, Amsterdam) is a filmmaker and painter. He presents a new series of paintings centered on fractured family dynamics: half-remembered, half-constructed, with himself perpetually hovering at the periphery of the frame. In addition, he exhibits video work composed of intimate familial scenes that balance between documentary, performance, and staging. 22 May, 17:00–19:00 (opening) 23 & 24 May, 13:00–17:00 WG Kunst Marius van Bouwdijk Bastiaansestraat 28 www.wgkunst.nl
