‘Morphogenesis – Wolfgang Ganter & Ria Wank

Morphogenesis brings together Ria Wank and Wolfgang Ganter, whose practices explore growth, transformation and self-organisation. Wank combines experimental camera-less photography with living root systems, using organic growth itself to create form. Ganter works with bacteria and chemical reactions, allowing images and compositions to develop through biological processes. Rather than fully determining the outcome, both artists create conditions in which materials can evolve. Through controlled experimentation and chance, unexpected forms emerge, transforming natural processes into an integral part of artistic creation.
