Pensive Vivifier in Concert
Pensive Vivifier was born in theatre and raised in the club. In their audiovisual concert performance, Silva Westera and Maas van Gogh invite audiences to get lost, dance hard and scream along. On stage, dreamy vocals, saxophone, synths and raw screams collide with towering projections that surround the performers and transform the entire space.
Inspired by Björk, A.G. Cook and Death Grips, they blend emotional songwriting with pounding electronic music. Expect dreamy melodies, heavy beats and visuals that mesmerise, overwhelm, make you laugh or leave you speechless. Their songs explore anxiety, doomscrolling, family, loveand the strange ways we search for connection in a hyperconnected world.
Pensive Vivifier creates concerts where club culture and performance art merge into one immersive experience. Come dance, cringe, sing and scream. Anxious clubbing is real—and beautiful.
About the makers
Pensive Vivifier is an anti-disciplinary collective creating work somewhere between live music, performance, video art and club culture. This marks their third appearance at Amsterdam Fringe Festival—audiences may remember them from their Fringe at Best winning performance LOVE IS ABUNDANT (2024).
Since then, the collective has continued to expand its universe. They created the hyperpersonal performance It’s a Feeling, premiered the opera Passion in collaboration with Het Muziek, and have been touring Pensive Vivifier in Concert: an audiovisual live show where dreamy vocals, saxophone, synths, screams and monumental projections collide. Their debut EP LOVE IS ABUNDANT is set for release later this year.
Everything exists within the same Pensive Vivifier cosmos. Performances, concerts, installations and music continuously feed into one another, each project leaving traces in the next. Working with samples, internet culture, humour and electronic music, they transform personal stories about anxiety, family, love and digital life into immersive experiences that invite audiences to dance, laugh, cringe, scream and get lost together.
