Speciaal Event: Sound performance | Ronald van der Meijs

"Amaryllis Switch – What if bacteria will construct a new habitat of our plastic waste" Ronald van der Meijs at Bradwolff Projects, Amsterdam Oost

Speciaal Event: Soundperformance op 22 februari, 16:00

Following its successful opening on 19 January, the solo exhibition by Ronald van der Meijs at Bradwolff Projects has made an immediate impression. On view until 1 March, the exhibition explores how microorganisms transform plastic waste into a new ecosystem. Van der Meijs translates this concept into a powerful installation that brings together nature, technology, and human impact in a visual and auditory work.

Sound Performance – Saturday 22 February, 16:00 (Doors open 16:00, Starts 16:30)

Experience a unique performance where art and sound converge. Electronically processed sounds derived from the plastic within the installation are interwoven with specially composed soundscapes. The rhythmic breathing of the installation constantly shifts and morphs into new forms—a sonic metaphor for the plastisphere, the ecosystem of bacteria and algae thriving on ocean plastic.

The performance lasts 30 minutes. A seating cushion is recommended for your comfort.

Please note: Limited capacity.
