Sybill's Leaves – Noor van der Brugge | Where the Wind Blows
Sybill's Leaves – Noor van der Brugge | Where the Wind Blows
Each year, Kunstliefde awards the Kunstliefdeprijs to artists distinguished by their quality and distinct artistic signature. The 2025 edition was particularly special, with two Kunstliefdeprijzen presented: Noor van der Brugge received the Oeuvreprijs, and Lea van Vlodrop was awarded the Talentprijs.
Now, they share the gallery space with new work. Noor explores how women have been depicted throughout art history and how these archetypal images of women can be liberated from their traditional roles, bringing them together in a monumental 35-metre-long frieze. Lea plays with chance, divination, play, and scale. Two artists, two worlds, one exhibition.
With this exhibition, Kunstliefde highlights where Noor and Lea stand today, and how each continues to develop, investigate, and surprise through their practice.
During the opening, Kars Persoon, Noor van der Brugge, and Lea van Vlodrop will recite an original collaborative text on text, image, and the workings of perception.
