Winterreisen

4 winter journeys into the Amstelpark

The Amstelpark offers an entirely different experience in the wintertime than at any other time. This particular experience of light and dark and the unique magic that winter casts over the landscape plays a key role in this program. Four individual projects will be presented for two weeks one after the other over the course of two months wherein each in its own way takes the audiences on a journey through a winter landscape in the Amstelpark, sometimes literally, sometimes by recreating the experience within the Glazen Huis. Each project is characterized by an installation created within the pavilion, that forms the basis for and is activated by public performances. One after the other the projects will give the audiences a unique experience of winter time in the park as a site of mystery, imagination and discovery that beckons us to reconsider our relation to this natural world at a moment when all is at rest.

Winterreisen: 4 winter journeys in the Amstelpark is organized in collaboration by The Warp (curated by Lee Ellickson)
