HKU BioDesign Expositie 2026

Embark on an expedition through ecosystems, narratives in flux, and speculative futures, together with students from HKU Media, Muziek en Technologie, Design, and Beeldende Kunst. Over the course of four months, an interdisciplinary group supported by the HKU Biolab will develop installations, illustrations, performances, and product designs at the intersection of biology, art, and design. The resulting works will be exhibited in the attic and form part of the international design competition Biodesign Challenge 2026.

Location: In the attic of Landhuis Oud Amelisweerd

Opening hours: Wednesday 3 June, Thursday 4 June, Friday 5 June, Saturday 6 June, and Sunday 7 June 2026, from 11:00 to 17:00. Free admission with an HKU card or Museumkaart. More information about admission prices can be found here.

A free guided tour takes place daily at 12:00 and 15:00. You can join on the day without prior booking. Gathering in the entrance hall. Joining the tour? Your admission is free as well!
