Microdosing A.I. Workshops

A key aspect of the Microdosing A.I. residency is knowledge sharing, which occurs through various formats like workshops, panels, and group discussions. On Wednesday the 18th two interactive workshops give participants of the residency a chance to directly explore experimental AI practices and learn collaboratively.

10:30 – 12:30 Breaking LLMs by Ben Drusinsky, Niki Scheijen and Rik Mertens

In this workshop, participants break open LLM systems to explore their inner workings and discover unpredictable outcomes in the form of generated images. By manipulating and retraining small, locally hosted models, attendees experiment with the quirks and surprises that emerge when AI is pushed beyond its usual constraints.

13:00 – 17:30 DIY Embedded Bird Detector by Matteo Marangoni

In this workshop, participants explore bioacoustic machine learning using datasets collected by Matteo Marangoni. Using electret microphones and ESP32 microcontrollers, the workshop delves into sound classification, covering the full pipeline from data preparation to training and deploying neural network models. The focus is on understanding classifiers in practice and experimenting with DIY approaches to eco-acoustic monitoring.

Please note, these workshops are for the participants in the Microdosing A.I. residency.
