Nesserdijk opens its doors for Groot Rotterdams Atelier Weekend 2026 (location 44 on the route map, Rotterdam East). Studios are open Sat 19 Sept and Sun 20 Sept, 12:00 to 18:00. Entry is free with a ticket reserved through GRAW; a voluntary contribution goes to the makers.
The Nesserdijk studio complex is a former school building that now seems like a cross between a fairy-tale castle and a haunted house. The garden is legendary, as are the stories about the building’s former users. The complex currently provides studio space to eight artists: sculptors, illustrators, painters and a writer, all working independently of each other.
