20 watercolours of the Nieuwegracht, west side (each 56 x 76 cm)

Monique Hollands has a penchant for 'projects'. Years ago, she immortalised the renovation of the Utrecht city hall in 'deconstructivist style' by Spanish architect Enric Miralles. Recently, she completed the first part of – once again – an extensive project. She 'portrayed' the centuries-old houses along Utrecht's Nieuwegracht. In 20 large watercolours measuring 60 x 80 cm, she captured the entire odd-numbered (west) side of the Nieuwegracht.
