Utopia

Utopia opens its doors for Groot Rotterdams Atelier Weekend 2026 (location 45 on the route map, Rotterdam East). Studios are open Sat 19 Sept and Sun 20 Sept, 12:00 to 18:00. Entry is free with a ticket reserved through GRAW; a voluntary contribution goes to the makers.

Since 1978, Utopia, located in and around the Water Tower in Rotterdam, has provided space to live and work for anyone who wants to experiment, play, learn and create — young and old, artists and makers alike. During the Groot Rotterdams Atelier Weekend, one of the city’s oldest studio complexes opens its doors to the public.

Discover three halls filled with art, enjoy a jam session, and settle in at Café TomTom for a drink and some good company. On Saturday, there will also be a Toastie Club featuring two delicious specials.

Come by, meet the artists, and be surprised by everything that is happening in this hidden gem.
