V2_ 45 Years | Unstable talks
Unstable Talks
Unstable Talks is part of Still Unstable, V2_'s 45th anniversary programme. Across three days, artists, researchers, writers and technologists come together to reflect on the histories, practices and futures of media art.
For 45 years, V2_ has created space for public conversation alongside artistic production. Lectures, interviews, symposia and publications have always been an essential part of the organisation's practice, offering a place where artistic research, technological developments and critical reflection meet. Unstable Talks continues this tradition through a programme of panel discussions, lectures, interviews and artist presentations that expands on the themes explored throughout Still Unstable.
The programme unfolds through three interconnected strands. Unstable Histories revisits the people, ideas and moments that have shaped media art over the past four and a half decades, while asking which stories have remained visible and which have been overlooked. Unstable Tools shifts the focus to artistic practice, exploring the methods, instruments and infrastructures through which artworks come into being. Unstable Futures looks towards the social, political and ecological questions raised by contemporary technologies, from artificial intelligence to planetary computation.
Alongside the conversations, the programme includes a lecture by Aram Bartholl and a lecture performance by Anna Ehrenstein, extending the exhibition into a live programme of exchange, reflection and artistic presentation.
